I learned that pensioners from SSS (our country's Security System) also receive 13th month pay. That made my day . I am making myself educated when it comes to finances. It is just a small amount but IMO any additional income helps. 60 is far off but I hope I do get there and reap these benefits. Imagine me 60 enjoying mylotting and then receiving that amount In the meantime though, I am still part of the workforce and happy to contribute and feel fulfilled working.

I've been retired since 2010 and always look forward to any extra payments! Retirement age is now 66; but I retired on disability at 62.

@yoalldudes I can't do what I want to do; but it's nice not having to go to work every day.

Well I think that their 13th Mo Pay is not that high. Since they only pay the maximum amount of your monthly pension. So for oldies in their 60s those would not even match the cost of medicines they are taking.

Between 43 and 60 is such a long journey. So I hope I dont get much additional health issues in that span of time. I already am spending a substantial amount for mine and my daughter's health.

@yoalldudes For as long as you are aware of your health status then you can postpone any health issue from propping up. But I think at some point in the future they will come out.

@rsa101 I am educating myself on home remedies and herbal medicines. I beleive this would help. I can grow them in pots whatever I can.

I'm happy for you. Do you choose to work part time now or busy yourself with hobbies?
