Fact-checking the Department

I've been hearing news about scammers scamming people of thousands of their savings and 401k retirement.
This is unfortunate. My mom, 86 years old, had an experience. Scammers presented themselves, "Supreme Court Review Team". So, we, my sisters and I warned her to block these no-life individuals and to NOT engage in any conversation with them. She was thinking she might try to convert these criminals to become "agents of good works"
Well, nothing is new under the sun in this day and age. An agency or department of our government in our country has been scamming millions of tax-paying families-- telling us, "you've been overpaid and you must pay back."
My ordeal started in 2018 to current.
How do they come up with these falsified figures to scam families?!
I have appealed to them to review and to STOP their harassment since 2018- 2022. I do not owe them a cent.
I demand a sincere apology from them because of administrative error. That's all.
Thanks for reading.

I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. These scammers are everywhere and many a times so tough to be spotted as they appear so genuine
. It's not only this legal fight that you are fighting. There is enormous mental and emotional loss and they should compensate that too.

@arunima25 Thank you for your kind words. I have joined a group on FB who have been victimized by the said government agency. Some got refunded. Some are still appealing with the help of a legal group I had contacted in July 2021 and two weeks ago.

@everwonderwhy I hope and pray that you get refunded soon. And I really curse these scammers for putting people through so much mental agony. Nothing can compensate for the trauma and the time lost in fighting them

@arunima25 And to think, they are our tax-paid government 'services' who have been scamming us, harassing us, threatening us.

Thank you, @allen0187 I've had sleepless nights. The 2 year lockdowns worsened my desperation to fix it and point to them their falsehood. But when the local office started opening in March, I've been able to get excited and thrilled for the battle. Because I have my evidence, proof and facts that I DO NOT OWE THEM a cent.
Sorry for the all-caps :-)

I wouldn't call these government tyrants and swamps "leeches". Leeches are useful creatures doing good to the ecosystem.2 people like this

This is something to take it seriously.
I had been receiving my pension every month without delay and miss. But I was terribly shocked when it stopped without notice I checked it personally to government insurance company and to my dismay my pension was over or doubled. So they had to get it back by applying my pension to that over payment and it would take me 4 years to fully pay it.
I appealed if they could take half of it and it's good the manager agreed. Now I receive my regular monthly pension after paying it for 2 years.
I thought before it's a scam but it's not. They had a complete record of such over payment.

@Nakitakona We'll have yet to see what happens with my case and appeal. I know I am on the side of truth and facts. It's not only me who this fraudulent gov agency is harassing. Robodebt has done disservice to millions of tax-paying families.
