Floyd Karrer who is a 10 year old boy who lives in Indianapolis Indiana credits his swimming skills he learned by holding his breath while swimming on the water going to the deep end of the water to pick up objects before coming back to the surface.
Floyd who was with his father Paul Karrar when they were inside of a neighborhood pool near Holliday Park earlier this year when Floyd saw a boy who is about his age doing a cannonball jump into the swimming pool.
Floyd knew that he had to do something fast since the boy who did the cannonball jump into the swimming pool did not get out of the water.
Floyd then jumped into the swimming pool to rescue the boy who was out cold from the impact of the blow entering the water nine feet which is the deepest part of the swimming pool.
Floyd was able to get the knocked out boy out of the swimming pool and into the surface where he placed him on the ground next to the pool where his dad used his life saving skills to revive the swimming accident victim while eyewitnesses called 911 to report the incident.
Paul mentioned that after he used CPR on the unconscious swimmer, the boy did revive in time when the first responders to take the child to a local hospital.
Floyd is hoping to meet the young boy he saved from drowning since the young boy who nearly drowned since Paul did call the hospital where the boy who nearly drowned recovered from his near death experience was released the next day.
Paul is proud of the life saving feat of his son since he believes that his son will have a great future saving lives as a lifeguard.

I am sure that Floyd and the young boy he saved at the pool will have a private meeting away from the media and become friends.
