It is the Rainy Season Again

It is the rainy season again here in the Philippines. We have 2 seasons here in our country. Now that the summertime has passed, wet season takes place. I always hate rainy days because it is difficult to commute but there's also an advantage to that. It is not so hot when you travel because it is raining; you just have to bring an umbrella. Everyone in the office bring their extra footware in case of sudden floods. I normally have an extra t-shirt in my small locker in case I got wet outdoors. The only thing that I am courageous to do so far is to travel wearing sneakers. If it gets wet, then I won't have any spare in the office. Luckily it didn't happen so far. . Aside from getting wet during the rainy season, heavy traffic is expected. There are lots of cars on the road which makes commuting more difficult. During rainy days, staying in bed is far more preferred to do than working. This is what we called here "bed weather"; because technically you stay in bed the entire day if it is raining. Everyone also loves to eat soups, hot coffee, hot cocoa, "pares" and "mami". There's a lot to eat when it's raining and it is definitely enjoyable dining out if it is raining. Or just staying at home eating. It doesn't matter as long as it is all about eating. What are your favorite things to do when raining and what do you think are the advantages in your area whenever it is the rainy season?
