Always the One for Me is the second book in Carrie Ann Ryan's Wilder Brothers Series. This book is about Evan and Kendall Wilder. Yes, you read that right, these two were already married at one point. On a Vegas trip with his two best friends and their wives, Evan met Kendall and instead of taking the chance that she would disappear while he was on a mission, they married at the same time as his last friend. When you see your two best friends, one might as well say brothers, die and see how their widows react and their kids, it's something that you don't want to do with the ones you love in your own life. With that way of thinking, Evan walked out on Kendall. It left Kendall divorced, and wondering what she did wrong. After 8 years she did not think that she would have to be close with her ex-husband again. When she took the job at Wilder as the head Chef, she knew she would have to see him eventually but she was assured that he wouldn't actually be her boss. Evan ran the winery part, not the kitchen. When they sleep together one night though, everything changes...even though he walks away again. Evan looked in the mirror after a hard day and he found he didn't like himself. He had a lot of baggage and he knew it. Everyone knew it by how he acted most of the time, but something had to change. He still loved Kendall and he was so tired of being the grumpy guy that didn't know how to talk to people, especially her, without taking their head off. That one look in the mirror and Evan is determined to be better and win Kendall back. The question is, is there anything he van do to make up for eight years ago and worse, how he's been lately? What's worse is the Dodge family is still trying to ruin what the Wilder's have built in their resort. Everyone is literally at their wits end about what to do. What happens when one of the members of the Dodge family goes just that bit too far? This is an amazing book and shows that it's never too late for a second chance. Compromises can be reached and communication is always key. I think that's a theme throughout all of Carrie Ann's books, communication is key in any type of relationship that you have including friendships. *picture from google

Sounds a lot like Hallmark. I think I read it some time ago. It sounds familiar.

@JordanLader I don’t watch Hallmark. I like something a little more robust and real. in Hallmark the women are too simpering and men too sweet I like books that show people as they are faults and all.

@JordanLader I’ve never seen a Hallmark book. I thought they were only TV movies. I might like a book better than the movie.

@RubyHawk I have a weakness for Hallmark Christmas movies lol...and a weakness to read books before I watch them. So I end up reading some Hallmark books even though some are boring. Come to think of it, that's really the only Hallmark shows I watch.
