Gavin Keeney who is 10 years of age was in the right place at the right time three weeks ago when he was leaving a swimming pool in the home of his parents home in Nowhere Oklahoma dove into the pool when he saw his mom Lori Keeney who suffers from seizures having a hard time to stay afloat in the pool water. Gavin who must have had training on what to do when his mom would feel sick used his life saving skills by cradling his mom to keep her head above water by taking her to the ladder by the pool. Stephen Lowe who is the father of Lori Keeney heard the cries of help from his dogs as he ran to take care of his daughter to pull his daughter to embrace him after she was pulled out of the swimming pool. Gavin always swims with his mother when they spend time together in the swimming pool at their home. Gavin is a hero according to his mother. The Enos/Cardinal Cove Volunteer Fire Department made Gavin an honorary member of the team for his actions to save his mom from drowning on that day.

You are right since Lori thanks her son and her dad to assist her in her time of need.

He’s a brave little boy but since the mother has seizures she shouldn’t be in the pool without an adult present. The child could have drowned trying to save his mother

That is true since many readers from the article were asking why did the mom go into the swimming pool without an adult present since her son is not the second coming of Superboy.

@Deepizzaguy That’s what I was thinking. She put both their lives in danger.

I have noticed that children today are growing up faster in this generation which is good even though some of us claim that having children grow up too fast is bad.

That boy is a true hero! It is always good to have a swimming buddy just in case you start having trouble staying afloat.

That is the belief of many persons that I know to have someone watch over them.
