crafts for business

I am a mother of four and resigned from my call center job to transfer in the province where cost of living is not as high as in the metropolis. I don't have much money but I wanted to start a business in crafts. The labor costs here in my Dad's hometown is very low (to give an idea: P100.00 pesos per day/Philippines currency) which I think is a good advantage for crafts business. Rice crop is mostly the source of living and while waiting for the harvesting period there are no other source of income. I want to learn a craft that I can easily teach with fellow mothers and one that wouldn't cost as high to capitalize on but fairly in demand in the market. I would greatly appreciate all the help you can extend to an almost hopeless unemployed mother like me. Thank you!

Focus on the 'time' of the period you're wanting to make crafts and relate to that, also look ahead to the next upcomming event. You might find this a good site: http://familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts/
