I can not afford the expensive clothes neither. But if I like something very much, that perfectly what I imagined for myself I have to buy it. No matter the price or the brand. I hardy find good shoes for myself. But if I see a pair of perfect shoes I must buy it, no matter the price. (Anway I buy always cheap shoes!) I do not care about trademarks at all!!

When I was in high school everyone wore Frye Boots. I wanted a pair of these boots so badly. It wasn't until the Christmas after I graduated that I actually got a pair of these boots. They cost $100 (that was in 1976). I wore them for a day and got huge blisters on my heels. I took them back to the store for a refund. The sales person tried to talk me into keeping them. She said that if I wore them for about a month I would break them in and they would be comfortable. I requested my money back.

I think it was Pepe. I got a off shoulder top which i totally loved at that time. It was lovely but when i wore it , i realised it is too 'open' and i just cudn't wear it with a spaghetti/halter inside.

yep. local brands are nice, too. they are priced "fairly" for common people like us to afford.

Actually I don't like to buy very expensive clothes like jeans or something. My aunt always gives me GUESS jeans, caps, shorts but I cannot wear it because the size doesn't fit me. I prefer cheaper clothes or local brands as long as it fits my size.

yes. but you're lucky. atleast your aunt remembers you. but you are right. local brands are nice, too for as long as the fit is comfortable and good for you.

to be honest, during college days, i always wanted to wear nice clothes, whether branded or not, but they always have to look good in it. But now that I'm a mother, i don't bother buying branded ones. As long as it fits me, is just fine.

when i was younger i wore the expensive brands, but now with 3 small babies i just buy regular clothes as long as they look cute and are comfortable thats all that matters.name brands dont mean much to me,its just a name you are paying for not comfort.

This discussion seems to be mainly inhabited by mentally deficient poor people. Why don't you go to college recieve a degree and persue a financially satisfying career that won't result in you flipping burgers at McDonalds. And I guess that the most expensive piece of clothing I have ever bought would be a tailored Armani Collezione suit which cost me upward of 4000$ and yes it was worth it.

I dont think that my clothes is expensive maybe in the middle of not expensive and expensive, when i was single i like buying some branded but the one with sale like 50% hehehe..if i buy expensive things i will make sure that is useful, like jeans i cannnot bought cheap jeans because it will be too long for me i mean not fit to me..so trying to bought jeans in mango here in Goteborg that cost 400 to 500 kron..im thinking somtimes its too expensive but theres nothing i can do i need to wear jeans that my fit :=( but anyway it is really useful for me.

I really don't know. I don't buy expensive brands of clothes because I really cannot afford to buy something like Calvin Klien or whatever.

I am an eBay freak and convinced the only way to get quality at a great price is buy name brands and buy the expensive ones, so I buy all the Louis Vitton's, Dior, Verasce, I guess the most expensive item would be the Verasce Evening Dress I brought on eBay for $288 that turned out to be two sizes too small and it fits my 27 year old daughter who is begging for it. So, this was not a good thing. I am sticking to purses and shoes for the moment.

Although I do own expensive brand name clothing, nothing I own was purchased new or retail. Thrift stores all the way! That way I can own the expensive stuff without paying the expensive prices. The most expensive brand I bought that way was Cole Haan women's loafers:(www.colehaan.com) I bought a pair of the Megan Loafers that retail for $325 for $5 at my local Goodwill - brand new, never even worn! Made my day!!! I'm wearing them right now, worth every penny LOL!!

I bought myself a pair of patent red leather doc marten boots. It became very expensive as I had to go to Covenent Garden in London to get them. Yes, it was worth it 100%! And the trip was a blast!

I guess it would have to be my suits that I purchase and have tailored form Brooks Brothers, i've never looked better than I do in one of those suits so I guess I would have to say that is was worth it.
