It seems that the news stories from the odd side are related to alligator sightings around America. This story of an alligator is kind of funny since a seven foot 11 inch alligator was seen at a parking lot in Spessard Holland Elementary School in Bartow Florida on Tuesday August 30. Lacey Golden who is the Principal of Spessard Holland Elementary School was getting out of her auto at the parking lot when she saw the alligator near her. Lacey called the authorities to report the sighting of the alligator. After police officers of the Bartow Police arrived with the assistance of a former wildlife trapper, they managed to remove the alligator from the school campus and take the alligator to a safe place by the officers. Lacey found the incident of the alligator funny since the nickname of the school is the "Gators." She thinks that the alligator wanted to get a free education at her school. I like a person who finds something funny when they see an alligator near them when they are on the way to work or running errands.

Maybe this was the mascot for the Gators' team.

It could be the mascot of the school.

@CarolDM Although I am sure since it is an elementary school the mascot might be a stuffed version at the front door of the school.

Most likely back to a body of water near the school campus.

That is most likely true since alligators will go to an area where the name is in display.

I would faint or have a heart attack if I saw a live alligator

I know how you feel since I would be scared as well seeing a live alligator.

I'm glad that the gator was relocated without incident.

That is true since I don't think that any wildlife officer wants to rub any alligator just for trespassing in school property.
