So yesterday was the time for a classic action movie. Movie Name :: When Eight Bells Toll Based on : a novel by Alistair MacLean The movie stars Sir Anthony Hopkins as the British Secret Agent and Navy Officer Philip Calvert (somewhat similar to the Naval commander James Bond...) played by Sir Anthony Hopkins (So young looking in the movie). He is on a mission to investigate mysterious disappearances of Bullion ships as well as Boats and deaths away from the shores as well. After many twists, turns and lots of action, Calvert is successful and helps salvage lots of stolen Gold as well. In a way, the character of Calvert is Bond like but in a few scenes he is shown as getting a bit beaten up and vulnerable as well, so that is a difference. The action scenes, the aerial shots during a helicopter flight scene and a few fun moments make the movie worth watching. Yes, it could have been better but I think that is perhaps something that can always be debated. A nice weekend watch movie perhaps. Awesome! One of my favorite authors is Alistair MacLean. I love most one of his movies, "Where Eagles Dar" It's a story about Germans during world war II. The actor was Richard Burton. I hope to watch that as well. I hope they have screened the entire movie. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I liked that Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton movie a lot. It had some special action scenes and a gripping story. I read that this movie and "Where Eagles Dare" had the same director.
