How dare this cat I say!!!

Stray cats visiting us is normal We just take them in our stride and sometimes give them left overs.
This black cat has been visiting us lately and we treat this cat the same we treat other strays But today morning i saw him getting inside. I followed it and there he was trying to jump on the bed where Peppie was sleeping The bed was not done yet as Peppie always gets there after he has had his fish feed. And this is routine.
I drove it as I was not sure what Peppie would do if he saw him. But I wonder if they are friends - which is rare.
What do you think?

I don´t know much about cats as I´m a dog person. But I am territorial. Luna lives in the garden and terrace (which used to be mine) and I live inside the house.

What surprised me was the cat getting into the bedroom where Peppie was sleeping and he was trying get on the bed. He was not scared of Peppie.

Cats can smell from a distance but Peppie did not mind the cat trying to jump. I really do not know what to say.

Pets can be possesive and they don't accept any new entry so readily. Not sure if Peppie would have been happy to have other company. Mostly animals are territorial and not happy with others invading their personal space.

What baffles me is that perhaps they have an understanding as this cat just walked in and was wanting to befriend Peppie. Animals are a mystery really
