Why do you like Cosplaying?

I like cosplaying because here, you can be whatever you wanted to be. You can be a model, celebrity, actor, performer, etc. Also, here, your potentials can be unleashed. Your creativity and confidence can be developed through this activity. And just like in any other sports, you can gain friends here.

Personally, I like so cosplay because when I do a real good job, lots of people praise me and it makes my friends and sister happy to see me at there conventions even if I decide to come in just a shirt and jeans ;D

I guess its the same reason why we like costume parties and halloween, its fun dressing up as someone else for a change.

I used to cosplay as (following the lenght of my hair) - Father Anderson (from Hellsing) -Terry Bogart (from Fatal Futy, with his new Garou: Mark of the Wolves look) -Vash the stampede (from Trigun, mustve wasted half a can of hair spray) -Hughes (the swordsman from Trinity blood, the blonde longhaired dude in the pic below)

I'm into cosplay for a lot of reasons. One, the social aspect. There are few things more fun than running around a con in costume with a whole bunch of friends. Two, it's a way for me to really express my love of a particular character and series. It's the best homage I can think of. I really get into it when I cosplay. And of course it's a chance to dress up and have silly fun. I love dressing up, so much. And the attention is awesome - I love when people stop me and ask to take a picture. It makes me feel special!

wow, that's so cool of you! =D i wish to cosplay someday but i think it needs a lot of money for amazing costumes. O_x
