I share the same feeling since baby alligators are harmless since they are very young and innocent.

A noble deed indeed!
If by chance, this baby alligator reached this place, then it is still fine.
Yet if someone stole it, big shame on those people.
How can one be so cruel hearted?
But well, I have heard of people stealing human as well as animal babies in India as well.
Very sad and something that brings a lot of anger towards such folks.

Law enforcement officers follow the rule never to rub out an animal unless their life is in danger. A small gator would not be harmed by a police officer.
