A couple who lives in Florida even though which city they live in which was in the path of Hurricane Ian is using social media to see if the owners of an Alexandrian Parakeet so that can reunite with their pet who was rescued by the good couple one day after the hurricane hit the Sunshine state. The name of the couple has not been revealed to the public is hoping that the owner will be able to reunite with his or her pet soon as they are able to come to their home when they are given permission to return from the authorities. Despite the tragic events of this natural disaster, there are some people who are showing compassion for animals that were either left behind or separated by the effects of a natural disaster like this incident.

The people who own the parakeet will be happy to know it’s safe. So much damage and lives lost.

I share you thoughts since Hurricane Ian did destroy the towns that it passed through with the news coming from the Weather Channel showing the destroyed houses.

@RubyHawk I am afraid that many pets who were in the path of the storm passed away.

@Deepizzaguy Yes, the hurricane was terrible. Probably lots of lost pets that will never be found..

He is a lucky parakeet. Florida isn’t the safest place weather wise.

I agree with you that Florida has the bad luck of getting hit by huge hurricanes frequently..

Hope the owners find their parent. Meanwhile they're having fun taking care of the parrot.

I share your thoughts since there will be some good stories of animals being rescued by animal rights groups and strangers coming out in the news soon.

I am glad the owners will get their bird back. That was nice of the other people to take care of the parakeet.

I am also happy for the owners of the parakeet getting the good news is they will reunite with their lost pet after the damages of Hurricane Ian separated the parakeet from his owner.

I am sure many pets have been relocated. Kind of sad. But glad they survived.
