Hello. Someone recently said to me, "You overcame a tragedy to live a wonderful life." I actually found the comment offensive and hurtful and did not even respond to it. If someone said that to you, how would you feel? What would your response be? Thank you as always for taking the time to visit.

Sometimes people say things and do not really know how it will affect the person they are speaking with. I am sorry this upset you and I can understand why it would. People talk such nonsense sometimes. I usually respond with the complete truth. I tell them what you just said is utter nonsense.
