While I prefer Action-Thriller genres, the family wanted to watch a different kind of movie.
So we watched Baghban(2003). Literally it translated to the Gardener: mainly the father of a family.
The movie is about a father and mother who have tended to every need of their children, and hardly left anything for them.
However, when the time comes when the father retires, The Kids are not willing to take their full responsibility.
The film talks about issues in generation gaps, reciprocity in Parent-Child relationships, true friendship and more.
I won't reveal much lest you want to see it.
This movie was a hit and I think it might even have won a few awards.

Yes, one can try keeping one's parents in ways possible for them, even though generational gap do crop up in many interactions.

Not exactly the kind that I prefer. Yet it had a strong social message which was nicely conveyed.
