Firefighters save the life of an elderly man in Louisiana

What likely happened in Baton Rouge today was that an elderly man who was inside of his two story home was that either an eyewitness or a neighbor saw smoke coming from the home of the elderly man who was upstairs when the fire began in the lower part of his apartment. When the Baton Rouge Fire Department firefighters arrived at the home of the elderly man was upstairs acting like he was not feeling well when they were able to get out of danger safely since the smoke that came from the downstairs part of the apartment. The elderly man after he was rescued by the firefighters was taken to a local hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery. The authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. I am sure that the fire did cause minor damage.
