The Damodar Valley Corporation dam in Panchet is famous dam in India. In addition to creation of hydro electric power the dam also regulates the waters of rivers Barakar and Damodar. Damodar and Barakar are rivers which floods the nieghbouring areas during the monsoons. The gates of the dams regulate the water. The visitors are allowed to walk on the roof of the dams.
