A novel is by definition a fictional story. A story that is factual is a work of non-fiction. However, the lines between these genres have been blurred by recent works that are called "self-reflexive novels." These books are works of fiction, but include interludes of non-fictional commentary by the author. A good example of a book in this genre is Dave Eggers' bestselling "A Heartbreaking Work Of Staggering Genius."

I mixed it. from realistic story, into a fiction. as you know, sometimes we need some fictions to blow up our story :) good luck!
