I was going through things on my dining/crafting/catch-all table, and I came across a refund check I'd gotten from our local recycling company. Of course it said "Invalid after 180 days", so I figured out that time from the date the check was written, and thankfully it's not "invalid" until January of next year. Granted, it's only six dollars and change, but it's a little surprise something to stick in the bank, where I'll be going tomorrow morning.

When I was still working, I received a return of investment (ROI) from the government insurance of a measly amount of 8 pesos in check. I didn't encash it. Instead I kept it as a souvenir.
