Making another papaya relish

Aftermath of the storm paeng, mom's friend who has papaya tree had it's fruit fallen off. So, she gave more than a dozen to my mom. Few days later, She finally made time to make the relish again. Of course, with the help of another friend and my aunts. The only thing left are ingredrients, which is expensive to me. What do you think is the best viand for this relish? the only thing I can think of is the fried milkfish.
