A 15 year old teenager who is female is grateful that Elmwood Park Detective Nick Dimovski answered the call to save the teenager who wanted to jump off of the Broadway Bridge between Elmwood Park and Paterson yesterday afternoon. The teenage was on the wrong side of the eight foot fence who was literally hanging on the fence by her fingernails when Detective Dimovski who was on the safe part of the chainlike fence by holding her hands while he talked to her that killing herself is not the answer. Thanks to the Elmwood Park firefighters who were used to rescue the teenager by going behind the fence and getting her to safety by likely using their fire equipment skills. The female teenager will be sent to a mental health facility so she can find help to beat her mental health demons that are haunting her. I am hoping that Detective Dimovski will find help from his employer since saving the life of a person who wants to end their lives since the stress can take a toll on a law enforcement officer.

Teenagers have their problems , usually bullying at school is why a youngster doesn’t want to live. There should be a way to stop the bullying.

I agree with you since former professional wrestler Marc Mero who is retired makes speeches to teen in schools around the nation giving them encouragement.

@DevMrSamEleazar Bullying and not finding persons to encourage them during tough times causes many of us to believe that ending their lives is the answer.

I hope so well since there is a saying that says "You are stronger than you think." which should give that teen a reason to live.

I share your feelings since the way that the detective saved the life of the teen was a really close call since the detective held the teen's hand up to the fingernails area.

Especially the detective who literally came close to losing his grip on the teenager's hand when she almost fell down while hanging on to the fence.
