National Press Day is celebrated In India Today!!

Hi guys, Hope all of you are doing good. I am doing well too. As the quote goes "Pen is mightier then sword". The power of press is very significant in today's society. Press is the voice of voiceless people in society. In the year 1956, the First Press Commission decided to form a body with statutory authority which has the responsibility of maintaining the ethics of journalism. In 1966, the Press Council of India was formed and the National Press Day is celebrated since then on 16th November every year in India . The Press Council of India sees to it that the credibility of Journalism isn't compromised. Free Press is one of the four pillars of democracy apart from Executive, Legislative and Judiciary. Hence no unethical stuff is reported by Press thus supervision is done by Press Council in India. I feel that Press has lot of power since ancient times. Especially in current times, they play an important role in bringing about serious issues in front of society be it Politics, Entertainment, Sports, Business, Crime etc. Let me know your thoughts about it.
