Leadership

I got a job in a year 2016, this manager is the type of a scary one, strict , bold and most the time he yells, but most of employee stays and follow him. In 2022, I also have this manager which is calm, reasonable and gentle, but most of the employee filed resignation and leave. They are different people and different management style but I don't know why people stayed on the strict one. I just learned that you don't have to be gentle every time especially when there are people need to follow you. Sometimes they need to feel fear and safe at the same time. Sometimes people need to weigh your personality so that they will be vigilant on their actions. You also need to be calm so that people will trust your words and fearsome so that the will follow your command. But sometimes , it depend on the followers on how they handle different kind of superiors , because some people can handle them, whatever management style they have.

If the superior is a person of integrity, their employees will work with them no matter their strict or gentle behavior.

@abe2547 If they're involved in shady money transactions, respect and trust would collapse.
