Scariest place I seen in my life and not black people it was the white people and how you know it scared my mom. My kids my little bitty kids want to stab people because they so scared. Gangs My brother wanted to stab a fool now he can be in a gang. I am 7 Don't worry young buck we will teach you to be a killer too.
My mom so crazy. This my son.Not the good looking handsome man but the one that wants to stab people.
He had a razor at stop light She talked every way she could at how to get her son out of that situation. Nope, he gonna have to stab someone if he wants to stay alive and that little dude over there is next, we coming . Some how on bus we joined your gang and will beat murder people and they were like OK.. We good then. My mom was like we off tp Kansas in 5 seconds. I have never seen anything like that in my life. California gang lands have nothing on East St.Louis..
I was like why does no one do anything.Nelly there now and even they say does not matter.

My dad was born in East St. Louis, Illinois. Grandpa worked for American Zinc during the war. Within twelve years of dad's birth, East St. Louis was designated an All-American City. Its decline is sickening.

@Chellezhere It is quite sad at the downfall. I was there in 1981 or 1982. Luckily for only like 6 months and every day you were scared for your life at 5 years old. One of the few times in my life as a youngster I never left the house, unless forced like dumb school.
I cannot even imagine what its like now if they did not try to fix anything.

@Chellezhere That's crazy and who ever said kids are off targets in such places is full of crap. Kids the most targeted its how you can keep that violent crime, corrupt behavior going forever. My mom may have been a drunk but even she was there is no way in hell I am letting my kids stay here.
