Frustrated with the eagles

Was it realistic that the eagles go undefeated? Probably not. Would it have been nice, of course. However, I don’t care if you sneak into the playoffs or win every game, you still need to show up come playoff time to bring home the championship. How do you start 8-0 then lose to a bad team and struggle against a sub 500 team? Someone needs to step up and straighten them out. Coach? QB? Veteran player? Who knows, but someone. Go out. Make a statement and change the momentum.

MyLot is an international site spanning the globe. I haven't got the foggiest idea who or what 'the eagles' are.

Philadelphia eagles. American football. “Foggiest idea” is not a term I’ve heard before. Assuming that it means no idea? I’m going to start using that

@Altoid1 Your idea what this expression means is correct. I'm glad that I can enrich your vocabulary with this expression! See it as a premature Christmas present from Germany!

I guess the teams that play football in the National Football League that play a Super Bowl contender like the Philadelphia Eagles are not scared of playing them and they look forward to knock them out of the drivers seat or the Eagles did underestimate them.

@Altoid1 You have a good point that when a team finds a weakness on their opponents, the other teams will follow their game plan.

I think that their weakness was exposed and teams will try to use that as a blueprint to beat them. They need to address it, and make sure they are not exposed again. They also needed leadership to get them motivated again. Which, it appears they did.
