These kinds of stories are nice for me to share on this site since a cat named Sammy who is five years of age must have been scared to be trapped in the roof of a three story apartment complex without food or water for a period of five days before being rescued by the Kingsburg Fire Department came to the rescue on Wednesday morning. The way that Sammy managed to from the ground floor to the roof of the three story apartment complex was that Sammy climbed up a tree to the top of the building with no problem. Sammy had a problem when the tree that he climbed up to the top of the building was cut down and the cat was stranded until a roofer saw Sammy on the roof. Since the roofer who did not release his name realized that his ladder could not reach the cat to rescue him, he called the local fire department who used an animal trap to get Sammy to get off of the top of the roof and back to the ground. It is not known if the firefighters took Sammy to an animal shelter where the veterinarians would try to locate the owner of Sammy or not. However, I am sure that Sammy while he was at the animal shelter did receive a meal and a drink.

Poor Sammy. A good thing the roofer saw him. He must have been almost starved after five days.

I know if I was in the cat's position, I would be scared myself.

Cats love to climb. But why they don't know how to climb down?

What I know about cats is that they do not have claws to grab a tree when they want to come down like other animals that can climb trees.

@Nakitakona That is what I have heard from news reports on why cats have a hard time climbing down from a tall tree.

@Deepizzaguy They have claws which they use in climbing but they don't have the proper coordination when they want to go down according to my research.

I know what you mean since I know if I were a cat on a roof three stories high, I would be scared as well.

You are right about cats getting into trouble for some strange reason which requires help from strangers.
