We have finally decided that I needed a new car. We have a bunch of them (enough to start a used car lot), but none of them are dependable enough that I want to take on a long trip to visit my daughter 7 hours away.
We are now set on a Toyota Rav 4. The one we wanted was sold right before we could put the deposit to hold it for us. So we have our deposit in and the next Rav 4 will be ours. Although I wanted a basic package, we decided to upgrade so we had the overhead rails. I wanted to have this car for the next 10 years.
Have you purchased a new car lately? Thinking about purchasing a new car? Own a Toyota Rav 4:

I bought a new car nearly three years ago. It’s a Honda CR-V so I won’t need another car for a decade or so. I also love Rav-4s. My sis-in-law has one that’s nearly 20 years old!

@Meggan — it should. Hondas and Toyotas are outstanding cars, and the companies stand behind them. My brother had a recall on his CR-V…I think it was seven years old, but they fixed it!

I’m still driving my Ford F150 truck that I bought new 13 years ago. Back then, I would have been happy to get 10 good years out of it; now I’m hoping to make it 20 years. I take really good care of it, and it still looks brand spanking new.
