How can a 'Deleted Account' join a messaging platform?

I found this weird, but funny. Telegram is a popular messahing platform like whatsapp. One of the annoying features is that it keeps showing a new message everytime someone on your contacts list joins Telegram. But this one was different!! It says 'Deleted Account' joined! I wonder what that means!!

It likely means a person got deleted for whatever reason, but because they might have posts, it says deleted account.

I guess they deleted their account after joining.

@pitstop Either that, or their account got flagged and removed shortly after joining because there was something offensive.
