This morning I went to the DMV to get my ID renewed, as it had expired back in November. I had an "appointment" at 10:20 a.m. I think I mentioned in my morning post that my boss at the in-home daycare also texted me to see if I could come in. I had to tell her I had the appointment. While waiting and standing in line and all (and it all actually didn't take as long as I thought--15-20 minutes) I kept thinking (even though my boss texted me again, and said she'd be fine 'cause certain kids didn't come in) "What if this happens?" "What if she needs to go somewhere?" "What if--?" So after my appointment ended faster than I thought it would, I caught a bus back to the main bus stop, then another to the stop I get off when going to her house, then walked to her house. I figured if she told me to go home, I would. My boss was surprised, I think, that I came, but I'm glad I did. She had about 9 kids today even with the ones that were out, mostly babies/toddlers. She didn't tell me I could go home. Most of the kids were coughing, but...'tis the season. Sitting here drinking some Throat Coat tea right now. So, I got four hours of work in that I normally wouldn't have had. Tomorrow, I'll work my regular shift.
