So after all that stuff at the DMV, it turns out, via an email I got, that I need a REAL ID. I went from one website to another, and then because I needed a copy of my birth certificate and couldn't find the one I had, I had to order a new one. I couldn't get a notary republic on line to sign the form I needed, so had to find one locally, and just made an appointment with him for Friday. When he signs things, I'll be able to order a copy of my birth certificate by mail--that is, after I scan the paper with the signatures and send it to the people I ordered the birth certificate from. That sounds difficult . I believe you can take evidence of who you are like a bank statement and order an identity card from the drivers license bureau.

Yes, I got the documents I need for the most part, I just need to get a copy of my birth certificate. There was a list of things on line that I needed, and what you mentioned were some of them.

When we got our birth cert before we moved to Oregon six years ago. That was the first time I had seen mine. I had to send to the state of Washington to get mine.
