The shopper came while I was talking with Leticia by phone so Anita received the groceries. As soon as I finished, I went to see what they had brought. I was shocked and angry that several things had not come specially a set of fingernail polish that I wanted to give to Carolina for Christmas. So I sent them a polite hate letter and they answered first that they had called me several times and I had not answered the phone. They usually offer alternatives by phone if they don´t find the items at the supermarket. I can imagine that the supermarket might have sold all the polish. But I can´t imagine that they could have run out of tomatoes, specially in this time of the year. Finally they told me that they would not charge me for the shipping and I accepted their excuses gracefully. I got ice cream and 2 kinds of cheese and they brought me bread. Besides that, they brought me a Christmas package that included a small Panettone that will be place on tomorrow´s table. I have enough for tomorrow´s tea time. And now I´m drinking a very cold drink that said Pomegranate taste but that is really pure chemistry. Still, the ice cubes make all the difference. Meanwhile the news are showing big fires. The President just went in an helicopter to see the fires by air and to go and visit a fireman that got burned while trying to combat the fire. I still have a lot to do though. I am washing by hand my best china. I will treat my brother like a visit. That has two sides. I hope he understands it. I will dress up (and dress up the house) for the occation. That is showing deference. But there will not be any sign of familiarity. Humberto can open my fridge and help himslf to whatever he wants. My brother will have to stay in the dining room. Humberto and Dixie are my adopted family. My brother shares blood with me but he does not have the lest idea of my life or problems and has no interest in knowing about it. Do you have near siblings?
