In addition to my post earlier, here are the things that I have encountered for this year when it comes to hotels. The caller needs to book a room reservation and he has specific hotel in mind. Rep assisted the customer and probes for the trip details. Rep was able to see the account and fully-verified the caller. Rep gave trip details. Rep explained proper disclaimers and gets the confirmation first from the card member before booking it. The caller agrees and rep provided confirmation before ending the call properly. The card member needs to cancel a hotel. Rep assisted the customer and probes for the trip details. Rep was able to see the account and fully-verified the caller. Rep explained proper disclaimers. The rep explains that if she is cancelling it is still within the void window and checks first with the caller before cancelling it. Do you think hotels needs to start doing these in all reservations?

Mama Mia, sounds like a lot of hassles. We used to travel to South East Asia lots in the past, and my hubby (or his company's secretary) booked everything, I never knew that there are so much things to do behind the scene. Thanks for this post.
