Did everyone have a good Christmas?

I hope you all had a good Christmas / Holiday!
My dad, brother and I went to my Nan's house to have dinner. We were meant to be there around 5pm but around a little past 3, she rang and asked if we could come earlier as she was feeling very lonely. I told dad and my brother and we all rushed to quickly go as we felt bad she was feeling that way. It's hard with Poppy not being with her anymore. I was unable to see him Christmas day.
I plan on having some sleepovers with her soon. I know she really wants me to watch a particular movie with her. I think "Show Boat." I'm almost certain I saw that with Nanny and Poppy when I was little but I'd love to watch it again with her.
We had a delicious roast dinner. And then watched a bit of a show called "Miranda." Which is a British TV show.
We opened up presents before dinner. I got some chocolates, scratchies, money and my Nanny gave me a beautiful candle holder and Nutcracker. I really love Nutcrackers. I have another one that my Nanny got me another Christmas. I'm wanting to start having a nice collection of them. They just make me happy. (will explain another time why).

I'm so glad you and your family had a lovely Christmas! We did not celebrate, and it will go on for a year (as per my culture/family) in honor of my dad who passed away in October. Same with New Year's. But this is all loosely . . . we still spent time as a family and had a nice meal.

@jstory07 oh I love it so much! I actually pointed it out to my Nanny months ago when we were walking around the shops so she remembered and got it for me. Sneaky little thing.

I am glad that you, your Dad and brother were able to go over to your Nan's for Christmas. I am sure the time spent with Nan meant a lot to her.
Your meal sounds good. Sounds like you got some good gifts too.
We went to Mike, my husband, Mom's home. Other family came too, Mike's sister, husband, 2 nieces, and their family. It was a lovely time together. I know since Mike's dad passed away in 2020, his Mom enjoys family time more. We had a ham dinner and opened gifts afterward. We got gift cards which is what we wanted.

We had a wonderful Christmas. As early as November I had already started celebrating with friends I have not seen for years. It was a reunion Christmas celebration for me.

You're so fortunate to receive your Christmas presents. Me, no Christmas gifts. My wife and I do understand it. We're already senior citizens. We don't need that. It's only for our grandchildren.

@sickly09 Yeah Christmas is over. I still have the tree and decorations up though cause I am not ready to take it all down yet. I will have to eventually.

sounds like your Xmas went well, I wasn't long getting out of the
hosp to even think about Xmas (Sept) it was all I could do to
know what day it was much less what mon I was in at the time.
