What's for din? January 1st. 2023

I am a little behind in my posts but I have been taking pictures of the meals I have been making. My goal is to post once a day with something I make. Which means I will have to make something tonight lol. Anyway. On the first of the year I made BBQ pulled chicken, southern style biscuits with grape jelly and smashed potatoes with garlic, parmesan and cheddar cheese. It turned out really good and I was actually pretty proud of myself for whipping it together with just random stuff we had at the house. What did everyone else eat for New Years? I know down here the southern tradition is black eyed peas and collard greens. Which my grandma in law made, but we didn't go up there.
