This book is number 2 in the series. I reviewed book 1 (Lauren from Last Night) a week or so ago.

Is life a game of chance, or what you choose to make it?
A small-town romantic comedy from the author of the bestselling novel The Ticket.
Dylan Douglas considers herself unlucky. She lost her job at Edwin Cove's Starry Night Cafe, she's accident prone, can't land an audition, her roommate's a pyromaniac, and her rent's long overdue.
Driving to an audition for a movie role on Sunset Ridge, a piglet leaps off the transport truck ahead of Dylan, and swerving to avoid hitting it, her car goes into a tailspin and the driver in the BMW behind her crashes into her car. They aren't harmed but the poor injured piglet needs a vet. When the other driver takes off his sunglasses, Dylan recognizes him as Hollywood movie star Mason Ellis.
Together they name the piglet Lucky, and Dylan's life changes overnight. A lead movie role, a luxury trailer on set, a whole new wardrobe, sweet new friends and Mason's idyllic family farm. It's everything Dylan ever wanted.
But is what Dylan want what she truly needs? She struggles with her strong feelings for Mason, who as her co-star, a reputed womanizer and recovered alcoholic, is off limits.
Mason knows that Dylan's off limits but he's never met anyone like her. She's brave yet unworldly, and he wants to teacher her everything, from horseback riding to making midnight sandwiches, to letting him please her all night long in bed. Producer Jack Venture warns his pal Mason to stay away from the spark that could light a media frenzy.
But when Dylan's friends, Lauren and Sam [from book 1] need Mason 's help, staying away from each other becomes impossible. Can Mason prove himself to Dylan before filming ends and he has to leave Sunset Ridge for his life in Hollywood? And what does luck have to do with it?

Another sweet romance from Canadian author Heather Grace Stewart. Though it was a tad steamier than book 1.
I loved the unwillingness for the two characters to get involved because they were starring in a film together, and I loved the behind the scenes movie story. And of course the Canadian content.
The conflict was not one that left me overly frustrated. It worked out in the end and it was a very easy read. Can't wait to get my hands on books 3 and 4 of the series (though they are totally able to be read as standalones).

@lazydaizee She is a Canadian author. She has written several books. This particular series (the first I have read) she self-published. Seems to be the only way to go in the publishing world these days. Agents just aren't interested.
