Abu Dhabi conjures up pictures of vast sand dunes and deserts. This is true, that there are vast tracts of sandy desert but now with the oil boom there is a lot of greenery and lovely sky scrappers with pristine beaches to swim. I love to visit these beaches and one can even see the old Dhows that are used to sail the sea to fish kept stacked on the sandy beach. The beaches are pure and litter free and so well maintained. There are also exclusive beaches where you pay a price for entry (100AED or $25) These are exclusive beaches and one can romp around even n a bikini. I like Abu Dhabi more then Dubai which is more commercial and if yu want a quiet holiday, than Ab Dhabi is the place in winter to swim, dine and drink.
