Our Only Hope; Our Only Help; Our Only Wisdom

Proverbs 3:5-6 reads, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." For most believers, our first response to the challenges and victories of life is to respond out of our own emotion and wisdom. Of course, this is also true of non-believers, but that is to be expected from those who do not know Jesus. However, for those of us who have a personal relationship with Him, there is a better way. Our wisdom is limited and flawed. Hope, from within ourselves, is futile. This is why we are commanded in Proverbs 3 to avoid our own understanding and trust, solely, in Jesus. King Solomon, the inspired writer of Proverbs, is known as the world’s wisest man. That wisdom came from seeking God, from requesting of God a wisdom that cannot come from within the human soul and mind. Anyone who has read about the life of King Solomon knows that he made his share of mistakes. When he acted out of his own emotion, he messed things up (just like we do). But when he exercised that wisdom granted by God, he astounded all. The only way we can have the wisdom to make wise choices and the endurance to handle life’s roller coaster emotions is to seek God. We must live life (all of it) from a Biblical worldview. We must surrender our whole being, holding nothing back, to the Holy Spirit. As Joshua 1:8 commands, we must meditate day and night in the Word. It is only then that we will have true success.

Amen my sister in Christ I look at the Bible as our spiritual compass and road map to guide us through this life and Proverbs 3:5 and 6 is one of my favorite parts of scripture in the Bible the reason why is this because it gives us instructions it gives us wisdom the first part of it tells us to trust in the Lord this means that we need to fully rely on God and God knew that we will use are human wisdom to navigate through life and try and lean on our own human thinking so God's like fully trust in me fully rely on me fully Lean On Me and acknowledge me in all of your ways I will direct your path because you're thinking and your wisdom will lead you into places where I do not want you to go it will lead you into wrong directions wrong situations wrong circumstances so I want you to fully trust in me fully rely on me and listen to my voice listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you into all truth because he is the truth the way and the life God's word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our pathway Trust in God at all times and allow him to be God in all parts of our lives.

You are 100% right. Another mistake, often made by Christians, is being led by emotions. Our emotions can be, aggressively, misleading. Emotions are so powerful. That is another reason it is so important to fully trust God, even when we don't understand.
