Why Have Congressional Republicans Replaced the American Flag

Republicans in Congress have replaced their American Flag lapel pins with AR-15 pins. What could possibly be their rationale for doing so? Are the openly telling us that the weapon of choice for mass murderers is more important to them than the US Flag?
Do you think the Republicans in Congress should remove the semi-automatic rifle pins that represent mass shooters' favorite weapon and put their US Flag pins back on?

This is going to be a very unpopular opinion, but I would rock the AR 15 pin, but I would wear the flag as well.
I don't think they are neccesarily supporting a armed revolution against American, as they are in favor of people being able to be armed and arm themselves.

I think it’s in poor taste. And I’m actually happy they aren’t identifying themselves as “patriotic Americans” with the flags anymore.
