Depression

Most everyone has moments of depression. We make things worse for them by making them think something is wrong with them. We need to quit ostracizing, drugging, and stereotyping the depressed. Cry with them, listen to them, let them vent, give them time alone to reflect, let them know they are loved, and PRAY WITH AND FOR THEM. Depression is a part of life. There are things that should make us sad. But coming out of a depression can be empowering and transforming. If one has depression more often than not, help them figure out what is going on. Don't throw them away.

In my mind, there is really a lot of people who say they are depressed but do not really know the meaning of it.

I agree. It is just like so many other disorders- misdiagnosed or an excuse.

I agree. Some people with heavy depression should be seen by a doctor. It's no way to have to live.

Good advice. When my teen son was in depreasion, i had a close talk with him until he wept because he couldnt tell his dad what he had been enduring. I knew because i been through.

We should talk and listen to the depressed people and give them support to get back to normal
