Making wine is an interesting activity. We have tried making wine with several different items - cashew apple, grapes, bilimbi, gooose berry, cherries and even wheat....
One needs to pay importance to precision for perfect results and this comes with experience.
One advantage with wine is that it matures with age and so there is no fear of it getting spoilt.
While producing wine in bulk specially of grapes they use their feet to crush the wine
But we never felt the need as we make wine for our own use and for entertaining guests in small quantities These days we do not make wine any more.
We got the best results with the cashew apple.
Have you tried making wine?

No, my husband did, and put it in old bottles. One night we heard all this noise from the closet. The bottles burst. What an experience. He never did that anymore. Lol

This article written in the year 2020 maintains that grape stomping continues -in certain pockets of the world, like Spain, Portugal and increasingly in US regions like California, grape stomping is still employed.
