I Volunteered At My Local Foodbank Center.

Today I volunteered at the foodbank center near me.
I left home in the morning, and came back around 6pm.
I am very tired. I loved every bit of it even though the work was tiring.
I was made to sort out the expiry date of each of the can soup. I sorted and put in crates according to their dates.
Due to the high cost of living in Britain most low income families depend on foodbank to get through life.
I love volunteering because it is sort of therapeutic to me.
I wish everyone could at least once in a week give back to their community any which way. You can give your time or money, choose the one that is convenient for you.
In addition, It's good to be kind, it doesn’t you anything to be kind.

It is very nice of you to do this for other people. I often walk past a food bank , but I had not thought about volunteering before.

Wow, that sounds like a very long day for you but I am glad you enjoyed it. I have volunteered at a lot of different places in my life, from animal shelters to food banks to thrift stores. Right now I volunteer through a program that sends packages and cards to soldiers that are deployed overseas. It's convenient because I like to write, and I don't have to leave home for a certain number of hours to do it. I pick up items to send them when I am out doing my own shopping and then mail the packages/letters when I can work it into my schedule. There are so many ways to volunteer and you are right, I wish more people would do it.
