Gooooooooood evening my friends. I weirdly have a lot of energy right now! LOL.
I was planning on making meatloaf or hamburger helper but the hamburger meat isn't thawed yet. Soooo I had to do some quick thinking.
We got 3 pounds of Lil Smokies at Snack Guy last week and I used some of them for pigs in a blanket the other day. Since it is Superbowl Sunday, we decided to make some bbq lil smokies.
I probably made about twenty of them and split them with Chris. She child had a bowl of frosted flakes and didn't want any lil smokies. I'm sure she will want something else in a little bit, but I don't know if the hamburger meat is going to be thawed in time to make a meatloaf.
So tonight was one of those thrown together meals.
When I got the lil smokies they were $8 for 3 pounds, which is a savings of $4.98 according to the regular prices that I just saw on teh Walmart website.
So we probably used about $1.00 of lil smokies and $0.25 of bbq sauce. Then she child's dinner was probably $0.50 for the cereal and $0.25 worth of milk.
So for all our dinners it was $2.00 total or about $0.66 per serving.
So not too shabby if you ask me.
Anyhoo. That's what we ate here, what went on the dinner table at your house?
