Good evening myLot fam!
It's everybody's favorite time of day! Dinner time.
Tonight is a simple but delicious homemade meal. I am making homemade gravy with homemade biscuits. I make biscuits about once a month or so and freeze about 2 dozen so that I have them for later meals throughout the month.
So for dinner tonight I didn't spend any money on the biscuits, since they were made last month and frozen.
The gravy is simple, Jimmy Dean sausage, milk, flour, salt and pepper.
I got three pounds of Jimmy Dean sausage at snack guy last week for $8.00, and had milk and flour and salt and pepper on hand.
I used probably a pound of sausage so that's about $2.66 in sausage, about $0.50 of milk, maybe $0.50 with flour and seasonings.
So $.3.66 for a meal, or $1.22 per person!
Not too bad for a homemade meal that will fill everyone up and make everyone happy.

I think that is a great idea. Never thought about making and freezing biscuits.

I think I am going to make hamburger helper tonight. But I just ordered Domino's for a late lunch, so we might not even mess with cooking tonight and just snack.
