I took a break from shopping to share another one of my favorite songs with you guys! My music tastes are pretty varied. I grew up in the 90s and early 2000's so I know more than my fair share of bubblegum pop and while I can still probably sing every single Backstreet Boys or NSYNC song by heart, I also have a ton of other music that I listen to often.
One of my favorite songs is from a band called The Presidents of the United States of America. I think it was my eighth grade language arts teacher who introduced me to this band and this song. Also fun fact this song is the favorite of the lead character from the tv show King of the Hill, Hank Hill.
If you still haven't guessed what song I am talking about, it's Peaches.
I'm sure the majority of you know this song. I would be shocked if @FourWalls didn't. I'm sure @moffittjc has probably sang it drunk at a bar.
Anyhoo, take a listen.

Not only do I sing it drunk at a bar, I also sing it drunk at home! lol
I think it's the only song I know by the Presidents. No, that's not true. If I remember correctly, they also sang the theme song from the Drew Carey Show. I pretty much think most of the music from the 90's and 00's sucked. But that's because I was an 80s child. haha But there are a few good bands and a few good songs from that era.

“Cleveland Rocks” is a cover of an Ian Hunter song, and the Grouchy Old Man will back me up that You’re Never Alone With a Schizophrenic is a FABULOUS album.

@FourWalls I knew that the version of Cleveland Rocks on the Drew Carey show was a cover, but I never knew who sang it originally. Is "You're Never Alone..." a Presidents album?

because they wanted to, the same reason anybody makes a song.

I also remember that TPOTUSA covered “Cleveland Rocks” as the theme to The Drew Carey Show.
“Eat a lot of peaches.” (John Prine)

They had several good songs. Lump and Dune Buggy are up there in my favorite songs as well.

@evilamericans — great, you’ll start the debate on whether peaches belong on pizzas.
