Mylot friends, I'm still in catch up mode from the past week or so with comments and posts. So I hope to do some tomorrow morning before church and when I'm home from work tomorrow night. Needless to say, here's a fresh new zoo photo I took last weekend for my first volunteer shift at the zoo inside the education center.
This is Mirabel, a Prehensive-tailed Porcupine. She's sleeping inside her home downstairs in the education center in a caged exhibit. The zookeepers take them out to teach zoo guests about them during summer camp and other zoo events. I've never seen one, up and personal so far. But she was adorable sweet while she slept inside her home. When my shift ended last Saturday afternoon, she had awakened and move over to the other side. You can even see part of the sign on the wall.
I hope this comes out clearly for you to see with my new Smartphone, and have no phone shaking to make it look distorted or blurry. Enjoy this photo! See you around tomorrow.
