have you ever tried drugs?
My neighbor has been playing this rap song nonstop, and one of the lyrics says that the singer tried drugs so he "wouldn't be blind."
I think I get what he means. He tried dope or smoked weed because he wanted to know what it was like. And that got me thinking because I've never tried drugs in my life - not even once.
I knew a few classmates in college who came to class high. People would gossip about their funny smell, glassy eyes, or how they kept giggling even when our professor was being very serious. Still, they went to school and never seemed to cause anyone any trouble.
I also remember some boys in my old neighborhood asking me if I had any cigarette foil in my shop - the foil from inside cigarette packs - and whether they could have it.
At first, I had no idea what they wanted it for. But as I listened to the song today, I suddenly had a lightbulb moment. Were they using the foil for drugs, and was I unknowingly helping them?
I've tried smoking and drinking alcohol, but I've never tried drugs.
Did I miss out on anything?

No. I never have and never will. The high you get might feel good in the short term, but it doesn't last. You start to crave more, and then you get to a point where you can't function without it. In the process it attacks your organs, killing them slowly. No. Not worth it.

@Adie04 Agreed. A few can go through rehab, but very few success stories. Because withdrawal, is just as dangerous and often leads to other health problems, and or overdoses because the hit is no longer strong enough.

I agree with you @kaylachan I also have seen a few people who have tried it before. It is a very bad decision for them to end their lives.

@sol_cee I’m happy that you don’t smoke. It’s such a nasty habit.

Yes, I have smoked weed before. I never really got too in to it, though. But I will admit, I did enjoy it.
Unfortunately for me, I cannot smoke it anymore for different reasons - I get too paranoid and messed up, plus I am fairly certain that the medications that I take react with it and can cause even more serious problems for me.
I don't think you are missing much, to answer your question. I mean yes, it can be fun, but it can also cause other underlying problems.
