Church on Sunday.

I went to Church again yesterday. I didn't know wether I'd be going because The Beast From the East is on its way and we didn't know if it would snow. It was cold but it didn't snow so I went to Church.
The lady gave me my proper mug, which was a white one, but somebody else said, I thought you'd want the green mug, isn't that the one you usually have? And I said, I don't mind what colour my mug is. But I don't even like green! I took one of their T-bags out of their T-bag caddy because it was exactly the same as the ones I have and it saved me a T-bag. I waited for 3 minutes while my tea brewed, then I found a seat to drink it. The rows of seats seemed to be a lot closer together than usual and I only just managed to squeeze through. There were leaflets on the chairs about the Church network that we belong to. It was trying to get you to support them financially. Not going to happen. It's so memorable I've forgotten what it's called! (it's Pioneer) We should have stayed with the Assemblies of God! When I'd finished my tea I went and took the mug back to the table at the back.
My Mum came just before the meeting started. We sang some choruses most of which I wasn't that keen on.
Some of the Church leaders went to a Pioneer conference during the week and some of them came onto the platform to tell us about it. Yesterday was apparently 'Pioneer Sunday' so Steve the Pastor came up to preach on something that was an extension of what happened at the conference. Or something. I think. It was very uninspiring.
After that we sang another song. I went to the toilet and then came back to get my coat and bag. Then I went home feeling was it really worth going? I'm very disillusioned with this Church anyway. People have been standing on the platform and spouting stuff that I don't believe in. Like one guy (Pete) said "in all the millions of years of Earth history..." No! I believe God created everything only about 6,000 years ago. Another time another guy (Mark) said several things. One of them was "Isn't evolution wonderful? How one thing can change into another!"
No! Evolution is not actually scientifically possible if you put your logical hat on! Also be said something about it took a really long time for the Earth to become suitable to sustain life. No! God created the plants and animals fully formed on a specific day. God took just 6 days to create everything and rested on the seventh, so it can't have taken so long for the Earth to be able to sustain life!
Also, the praise and worship is flat, and I don't get anything out of the messages. The Church I watch on YouTube, Freedom Church, is the exact opposite. Exuberant, exciting and relevant. The praise and worship is vibrant and the messages give you something to think about and implement in your life. I watched that on YouTube last night and it was part 2 of their Burn the Plough series and it was about changing the pattern. And it made me realise I have a routine which means I'm stuck in a rutt and I need to do something to try and get out of it. It's called Burn the Plough because when Elisha was going to follow Elijah he first went back and burnt his plough, so that he wouldn't have the temptation to go back to his old life.
Sorry about my rant!
Anyway when I got home I put on my Sam Ryder CD to cheer myself up after the flat service, and made my dinner. Ja Ja Tofu as usual. (Maybe as part of changing the pattern I should try and make some different dinners!)
So last night I watched that YouTube video of Freedom Church that I told you about. All of a sudden I heard a crash! A pile of books had fallen over!
After I'd watched the video and realised I should be doing something to get myself out of my rutt, I looked online for Art courses in Cardiff. I saved one that looked good to my favourites. At Cardiff college. I also saved the map to my favourites. One day I want to go and live in Cardiff, and Freedom Cardiff is the Church I want to go to.
What have you been doing over the weekend?
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

Thank you very much. That's very kind of you. I really want to go to a Church that actually believes what the Bible says!
Thank you very much. You have a good week too.

There are lots of reasons to want to find courses in Cardiff. The Church is a big reason. Other reasons are simply a change of scene, then the shops are better than here. Many of our shops keep closing down. Then there's the fact it's by the sea and sea air is good for you. The scenery, the people, the fact it's where they film Doctor Who and I might even be able to find careers opportunities to do with art there too. I want to go and live there one day too.
I've been going to the same Church since I was 2. It used to be really good. It's only recently it's lost it's way.
