Bluegrass Music

Any bluegrass fans here?
Personally, I do not like this genre of music. I sing in a quartet at church, though, and this time they chose a bluegrass song for us to learn. The song is called "Daniel Prayed" and it is performed by Ricky Skaggs and Patty Loveless. I cringe whenever I hear Bluegrass music, but our quartet members all have different musical tastes and we try to respect each other and include all of our interests.
I, only, listen to music with Christian lyrics no matter the genre. Although, I do not like bluegrass, I have a respect for it. I did not realize how difficult it was to sing or play until we started practicing this song. I definitely know those artist are very talented. And the good thing is this song has a great message for the listeners.

Yes, I love bluegrass. I particularly love the Johnson Mountain Boys’ version of “Daniel Prayed.”
Of course, I live in the bluegrass state so it’s sort of obligatory for me to like bluegrass.

@gnatsmom — they were inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame either last year or the year before. Major players in the resurgence of traditional bluegrass in the late 80s.

I'm not big on it, but generally speaking, I like it. I feel similar - even if I don't personally like something I try to keep an open mind about it

I admire your respect for different musical genres and tastes. Your respect for the other members of the team and the music is commendable and, I believe, is a key factor in the success of your team. I wish you to continue to work with the same enthusiasm!
