A Virtual Funeral

My younger sister went to my grandmother's funeral because her area is so close. I asked her to have a virtual funeral because we cannot view her personally, and she did it last night. My younger brother traveled after midnight to see her. I felt bad that I could not say goodbye to her since it is her last night to be viewed before the cremation today. By next week, she will have moved to her hometown, which is within a stone's throw from our place. My family and I can see her urn. We need to go, despite being cremated, to refrain from gossip. The relatives might say something about us. Have you ever attend a virtual funeral? Image Credit: funeralocity.com

Sorry for your loss, but you know what? don’t mind what neighbors might say to your family, its a family thing meaning they are not part of it especially in making decisions.

I have never attended one now but I think it’s wonderful that technology now a days can allow us to do this. I have heard of them being held during corona when people weren’t allowed to gather.

You are right. I need to be there with my immediate family. I also anticipated that it would be the last time we will set foot in my granny's house in the province.
